The Pioneer is a partnership between Willie DePasquale (Moceri Produce) and longtime friend Chef Hanis Cavin, founder/chef of Carnitas’ Snack Shack. Ivan Munoz (The Deck at Moonshine Flats) is consulting in the kitchen. The menu includes smoked meat combos, brisket-topped burgers, whiskey-glazed meatloaf sandwiches, and a twist on several barbecue classics.
Chef Hanis is known for his penchant for pork, with a tattoo of a whole hog on his arm. A large-scale replica decorates the front of the building, which was designed by Philippe Beltran (BO-beau kitchen + caché, Draft Republic, Tacos Libertad) in a rustic style that includes vintage tools from the Pioneer era.
Our circular bar has 14 taps of beer and boasts an extensive beverage program with a broad range of cocktails, from frosé to “Pale Face”, a mix of fat-washed bourbon, Old Overholt Rye, amaro, grape nectar, and cracked black pepper.
Come watch your favorite sporting event on one of our 15+ flat screen TVs while some of Willie’s favorite Blues tunes play in the background.
